Returns & Exchanges
Effective date: August 31, 2026
We want you to be happy with your purchase. Your gear should be right for you. If something about your purchase doesn’t work out, we’ll do our best to make the return process straightforward and hassle-free.
Wrong size? Changed your mind?
First, give it a chance. Did you use our size calculator on the product page and properly measure yourself? Then the size is probably just right. You’ll only need to spend some time with that helmet on your head (indoors, not on a ride). And remember there is a “break-in period” for helmets where the inner lining conforms to your head, and that can take a little time before it’s just right. A proper fit should be fairly snug!
Ok… still not happy? No worries. We’ve got you covered!
As long as the merchandise remains new, unworn, unaltered, and with the original packaging, tags/stickers, accessories and paperwork (if applicable). you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund to your original form of payment. Read on for important details.
Thirty-Day Return Policy
To qualify for a refund, merchandise must be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery in brand-new, unused, unworn while riding, undamaged, clean, and in resaleable condition. This means the merchandise must meet these requirements:
- Have no signs of wear, installation, modification, impact, scratches, odors, contamination, insects, cosmetic residue, pet hair, smoke exposure, or other damage;
- Include all original tags, labels, manuals, accessories, shields, anti-fog inserts, hardware, protective materials, and promotional items;
- Be placed inside its original dust bag and retail packaging; and
- Be carefully packed inside a separate shipping carton to prevent damage during return transit. DO NOT use the original packaging as the shipping carton, but put the merchandise inside it’s original packaging, and put that packaging inside a shipping container/box.
- Helmets may be tried on indoors solely to evaluate size and fit. Indoor try-on does not, by itself, make a helmet used, unless tags and shield films have been torn off.
- A helmet that has been ridden in, worn outdoors beyond a reasonable fit check, dropped, impacted, altered, or fitted with accessories is considered used.
- All returns are subject to inspection and approval.
- Bluetooth / intercom devices that have been opened and functioned are not eligible for return.
A note about the condition of merchandise you return: we understand it’s not always possible to leave all the stickers on your helmet while also seriously trying it on… for example, you need to be able to experience what it’s like to actually SEE out of the visor! So removing a view-obstructing sticker on the visor/shield does not automatically invalidate your return!
After your return is delivered to us/our manufacturer partners, it will be inspected.
If your return is approved upon inspection, the refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7-10 business days after inspection. Your bank or card provider may require another 2–3 business days before the credit appears on your account. The refund will include the product’s purchase price and applicable sales tax, less any authorized deductions. The following are possible authorized deductions and are not refundable unless the return resulted from an error by Gear Pulse, a verified manufacturer defect, or otherwise required by law:
- Original shipping charges. If your order qualified for free shipping, the no charge will apply
- Expedited shipping charges. If your qualified for free shipping, the cost to upgrade to an expedited service will apply.
- Return shipping charges if we provide you with a return shipping label; the cost of that shipping label will be deducted from your refund.
- Shipping insurance or package-protection charges.
If your return is not approved upon inspection you will be notified and the merchandise will be held for thirty (30) days. You will be responsible for arranging and paying for the product to be shipped back. Products not claimed within that period may be handled as permitted by applicable law.
If your purchase was paid in using a Gear Pulse gift card, it will be refunded in the form of store credit.
If your purchase was made using a “buy-now-pay-later” service like Affirm or Klarna, we cannot accept your return and refund your purchase.
Our return policy is intended to make legitimate returns easy — not to encourage ordering multiple versions of the same product simply to keep one and return the rest. If you need help choosing a size or determining fit, contact us before ordering and we’ll gladly help. Customers who repeatedly misuse the return policy may be charged a restocking or return fee, or may be refused future service.
A Return Authorization (RA) number is required before any merchandise is sent back. Do not automatically send the merchandise back to us. Wait for instructions as part of the return process that will tell you exactly where to ship the merchandise. You must follow the exact process for a return as described below in the section titled “How to Start a Return”.
Return Shipping
Return shipping expenses are the customer’s responsibility.
You may arrange return shipping yourself from any location using the carrier of your choice. For your protection, the product must be shipped using a trackable delivery method. We strongly suggest choosing a shipping service that provides insurance, especially for higher-ticket items.
Return packages must be shipped prepaid. COD shipments will not be accepted.
International Returns
For international returns, please identify the shipment as “Merchandise Return” and choose a shipping carrier that does not impose brokerage charges on the recipient. Any customs duties, brokerage costs, or related charges associated with the return are the customer’s responsibility.
We will refuse international packages sent COD or shipments that require us to pay outstanding brokerage charges upon delivery.
Promotional Items, Bundles, and Discounts
When a product was purchased as part of a promotion, gift-with-purchase offer, or similar promotion, all connected products and promotional items must be returned to receive the full eligible refund.
If the customer keeps part of the promotion, the refund may be recalculated based on the promotional terms and the value of the retained products.
Discounts applied across multiple products will be allocated proportionally. Returning one product from a discounted order may change the refundable amount associated with that product.
Exchanges
Looking for another size or color? Rather than waiting for an exchange to be processed, we recommend returning the original merchandise within 30 days of delivery and placing a new order for the item you want. This allows you to secure available inventory immediately and gets the replacement on its way sooner.
When the replacement order meets our free-shipping requirements, free shipping will be applied automatically during checkout. Return shipping for the original merchandise remains the customer’s responsibility.
Order Cancellations & Modifications
If you need to cancel an order or make a change, contact us quickly. Our fulfillment process moves fast.
If your order has already gone to the warehouse staff, it may not be possible to cancel your order, change the delivery address or make other changes to your order details (such as changing to a different size or color).
Note that to ensure orders get processed and shipped as soon as possible, orders typically get to the warehouse staff within 24 hours of when they are received, so there is a very limited window of time for these requests.
However, if you inform us of your need for the cancellation or change soon enough, we may be able to accommodate your request. Use our Support portal to submit your request as soon as possible and we will gladly help you if we can.
Used or Damaged Merchandise
Products that have been ridden in, installed, mounted, or otherwise put into use cannot be returned. Before taking your new gear outside, make sure the fit is right. For example, wear a new helmet around the house for a while before deciding to ride in it.
We cannot accept merchandise that shows evidence of use or comes back in a condition different from when it was shipped. This includes, but isn’t limited to, wear, dirt, insects, odors, pet hair, scratches, scuffs, installation marks, or similar signs of use.
If an item has already been used and no longer qualifies for return, you may want to consider reselling it through eBay, Craigslist, a rider forum, or another online marketplace.
Apparel & Helmets
Clothing must be returned with all original tags attached and placed inside its original garment bag or a comparable protective plastic bag. This protection prevents the fabric from rubbing against the cardboard shipping carton. Unprotected apparel can become scuffed during transit and may have to be returned to you.
Helmets must include the original helmet bag, original helmet box, paperwork, accessories, and other materials supplied with the product.
Even when merchandise itself is unused, missing or damaged packaging, tags, accessories, or included materials may prevent us from accepting the return as-is. Depending on the condition and what is missing, the merchandise may be returned to you or assessed a processing charge of up to 25% of the merchandise price.
Electronics, Hard Parts, Tools
Electronic products cannot be returned after they have been opened or the manufacturer’s factory seal has been broken.
Parts must be returned in their original condition and cannot show evidence of installation, modification, wear, or use.
Tools and chemical products are not eligible for return once their seals have been opened or broken.
Open-box merchandise cannot be returned if the product’s original packaging has been discarded, destroyed, or is otherwise no longer usable.
Defects
Warranty coverage is established by each individual manufacturer and varies by brand and product. If you experience a manufacturer defect, reach out to us to help you start the manufacturer’s warranty process.
Warranty Returns
Many manufacturers provide warranty protection for product defects that continues beyond our standard return period. For details about coverage on a particular product, you may contact the manufacturer directly or contact our team and we’ll help you determine the appropriate next step.
Manufacturer warranty claims commonly require several weeks to complete and remain subject to the manufacturer’s review and final decision. Normal wear and tear, abuse, improper use, and similar damage are generally not covered by warranty.
For Daytona Helmets products, the manufacturer provides a 1-year limited warranty that covers qualifying manufacturer defects. Read more here: https://daytonahelmets.com/pages/warranty
Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your product arrives damaged in transit…
If your product arrives damaged in transit you must let us know within FIVE days of delivery about the damage.
First, keep all packaging.
Second, submit a ticket with photos showing the damage through our Support Portal.
We will then work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue and send you a replacement or refund as soon as possible. Shipping damage claims are handled through the applicable carrier, such as FedEx, USPS, or UPS, and we’ll assist you with the process. Carrier claims can sometimes take additional time to resolve, and we appreciate your patience while the claim is being reviewed.
If you do not file your support ticket with us within 5 days of receiving your item, we cannot work with the carrier to make a claim for the damage they caused, and your item will NOT be eligible for our standard return or exchange process.
If your return shipment is lost or arrives damaged…
Gear Pulse is not responsible for a return shipment that is lost, stolen, misdirected, or damaged before delivery when the customer selects and purchases the return shipping method.
Customers should retain their tracking number and shipping receipt until the return and refund have been completed.
If Gear Pulse supplies the return label, the customer must still obtain and retain a carrier acceptance receipt showing that the package was transferred to the carrier.
Delivery Date and Refused Shipments
For purposes of calculating return and exchange periods, the delivery date shown by the shipping carrier’s tracking information will be considered the date of delivery unless the customer provides documentation showing otherwise.
Refusing delivery, failing to accept a shipment, or allowing a package to be returned as undeliverable does not constitute an authorized return. Except when caused by an error by Gear Pulse or documented carrier damage, actual outbound shipping charges, return-to-sender charges, and reshipping costs may be deducted from the refund or charged before reshipment.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address when placing an order.
Exchanges Do Not Restart the Return Period
Receiving an exchanged or replacement product does not create a new return or exchange period. Unless Gear Pulse provides otherwise in writing, all return and exchange deadlines remain calculated from the delivery date of the original purchase.
This limitation does not apply when the replacement product arrives incorrect, damaged, or with a qualifying manufacturing defect.
How to Start a Return
To begin a return, request a Return Authorization number through our customer-only Support Portal.
Step 1: When you placed your order, an account was created for you in our system. Your login username is the email address you used for your order. You may have already set your password. So go ahead and log-in to your account on our website here: https://gearpulseshop.com/login/. (If you forgot your password, you’ll have an opportunity to reset it.)
Step 2: Once you’ve logged-in to your account, you can use the Support Postal (click the Support tab on your account dashboard page). This will present you with a form to complete for your return / exchange request.
Step 3: Select the order # associated with the item you wish to return, and complete the details of the form describing any issues or defects in as much detail as possible. You are also encouraged to upload photos of any damage. Then submit the form and your support ticket is created.
Step 4: Our staff will review the request, normally within one business day. After approval, we’ll email you your Return Authorization (RA) number along with return instructions.
Step 5: Print your RA confirmation and place it inside the return shipment. Your package must be shipped within 10 days after the RA is issued.
Please don’t attach shipping labels, tape, or other materials directly to the manufacturer’s original product packaging. Pack the merchandise inside a separate shipping carton; you’re welcome to reuse the outer carton in which your order originally arrived.
Never use the manufacturer’s retail or product box as the shipping carton. Doing so can damage the original packaging during transit, and returns received this way will be refused by our warehouse.
Wait for instructions from us, which will include the address to send your return to.
Keep your return shipment’s tracking number until your refund is complete. Gear Pulse cannot assume responsibility for return packages that are lost while being shipped back to us.
After we’ve processed your return, we’ll send you an email confirming the refund and its details.
